The July crew tackled two projects. Patrick, Kurt, Melanie and Uli started rebuilding the stream crossing on the Thornton River, at the Buck Hollow trailhead. The rest of the crew began a tread rehab project on the AT, just north of the Bearfence Rock Scramble.
After work, the crew returned to the Pinnacles Research Station for a cookout. Students from SUNY, in the Park to study the Appalachian Trail, were scheduled to share the facility but most left the Park for the long holiday weekend.
